This is a work about cellular respiration, which describe how food breakdown into ATP. It has four cycles in order to create ATP. First is Glycolysis. Second is Preparatory Reaction. Third one is Kreb cycle or Citric Cycle. Last one is ETC or Electron Transport Chain. In this work, I do Kreb cycle, which I think that it is very hard for me to understand it. Kreb cycle occur in matrix, which is the liquid part in mitochondria. Kreb cycle is the cycle that create most of the NADH in cellular respiration, which this NADH will go to Electron Transport Chain.
ESLOS: Leader for the future This work need to do as a group. Everyone in my group need to remember this cycle, and go to tell our information to other groups. Also other groups need to present us their own cycle as well. So I think that I

In this project, we used the jelly and potato as an experiment object in order to know the function of the osmosis. We need to put jelly and potato into two different solutions, which are hypertonic (distilled water) and hypotonic solution (salt water). So we did this experiment because we need to know the osmosis function and to prove the osmosis theory that said the osmosis will occur from high to low concentration gradient.
ESLOS: Strategic learners We used the tools such as beaker, cylinder and electric balance in order to know the solution of the experiment. In this quarter, I learnt about how the proteins fold, and this is a model of protein. We used wire with different colours to make it, and the purpose is to know the shape and function of the protein. The blue is negatively charge. The pink is positively charge. The red is hydrophilic, and the yellow is hydrophobic. Therefore, the blue colour need to attach with the pink colour, and the red need to be inside the yellow colour. The Each colour show its own function.
ESLOS: Leader to the future I need to do this project with my friend, so I need to have a leader ship and responsibility in order to make my friend understand more clearly. This is the model of DNA. I need to work with my partner and we used snack and jelly bear as an experiment object. Each of gummy bears represent a nitrogenous base. The green bear represents Guanine. The red bear represents Adenine. The orange bears represents Cytosine, and the yellow bear represents Thymine. The green long jelly is sugar and phosphate, and it is double strand. The purpose is to know more about DNA and see its layer clearly.
ESLOS: Innovate thinkers We need to create our own DNA by using our own imagination and creativity. In my opinion, It is a vey good project in order to understand more about DNA. This is the project of skeletal muscle cell. In this work, we had to create model and presentation, and it is very hard for me to do it. The function of this cell is to create a movement of the body. Each colour of the cell represents different organelles and functions. The purpose of this project is to gain more knowledge and to know the different between normal cell and skeletal muscle cell.
ESLOS: Strategic Learners We researched the information by using computer, iPhone and other technologies because this is our responsibility and it is very fast and convenient. |
